    I wonder why it is that my seldom used Priv consumes battery even when the device is completely shut down. The other day I turned it on only to find the battery at 40%.

    A battery should hold it's charge when shutdown, with only a slight loss over a long period of time.

    His battery is showing signs of failure... maybe his battery overheated a lot, maybe he drained it completely a lot, maybe with his USB connector going bad a few times it shorted things out, maybe it was just not a great battery to begin with...
