Did you update all your apps in the playstore? Also is your media card from your old bb10 device? If so. Get another newer fast writing card for your phone. This phones constantly tries to reminder your card making it work overtime.

What about the sd card?

Definitely sounds like a bad battery. Those things happen. Any chance you could post up your model number, carrier and approximate location?
Hopefully it's a one off and not a bad batch.

Out of curiosity OP have you taken a look at the signal you are getting on your phone? My battery is struggling and it seems to be because of the fact that I can't lock on to a signal and it keeps jumping back and forth between LTE and 4G (Non LTE). Yours might have the same problem.
I have heard several people complain about weak radios. Is yours from att or shop blackberry?

AT&T
I have an att unit and mine gets hot and I know there's an issue w these phones reading sd cards. I have one coming from shop blackberry and I will be comparing the two to see if there's a difference. I should have it this week.

If you experience it again I bet it's just something with the software being updated. I have to admit the battery isn't that great. Maybe because I been playing w it a lot.

Had same concerns. Search other threads in this forum on subject. Also go update on Play Store everything. Search "BlackBerry Limited"

Tweak settings! Turn down brightness and adaptive brightness (under Display). Set emails to 'never sync' but 'push'. Turn off location settings (even weather apps can function with a postal code).
My Priv was running hot and draining steadily. These changes I made mean night and day.
I read a couple of articles online, concerned with my battery issues. There is a wealth of articles, even more thorough than the guidelines I have provided.

And also you can try going into mobile data and setting it to one frequency instead of having it automatic thays drains battery like mad ;)
You shouldn't need to do all that just to get decent battery life - could be something wrong with the battery because I've been using mine at 75% brightness and playing with it constantly and the battery life seems to be holding up well. Also, it seems to be getting better each day.
Could be, but I haven't had any issues since. I also don't find myself missing any of the things I've shut off, thankfully. It's actually a lot more in line with my Q10's settings. I could experiment and see if it was merely an issue of the device needing to settle...
