I understand this is a last effort by going android I just wish they made a version of the priv in the passport phone as I am not a fan of sliders? Does anyone think we could see an android passport in future?

Whatever it is..im not buying any Droid...I understand it's a hail Mary effort from BlackBerry and I wish good luck to them..but personally I would prefer Iphone over android if I have to choose another platform after BB10OS

Hard to be a fan of something I have never tried... may end up being a home run or the last nail in BB hardware business....

Not a fan of portrait screens. Only square makes sense to me after the Passport.

Also not a fan of being the product of a company.

Well for a first Android effort releasing a slider is an interesting choice. Of all people willing to buy a blackberry branded android phone, definitely a smaller sub-segment would get a slider. Why purposely target a smaller market? Perhaps they did the math and figured they'll make more money this way.

I'm curious about the BlackBerry pkb, but will not consider a Priv when the time comes if it doesn't have the BlackBerry vkb. Blows any android keyboard out of the water

I had a Torch 9800, which was a slider. I don't have any problems with the idea.

    But others do.

Many around here have been asking for a slider ever since BB10 was introduced.

Ever since the Venice was shown last March at the MWC, the other half around here have been knocking it. As if the opinions of those who want it don't matter.
