I notice that the Priv has the option of custom icons from the Google Play Store. Do any users of the Priv, or of Android in general, have any suggestions?

BB will have to put supported icon packs into the Playstore. The existing ones won't support BB launcher so you'll have to change launchers to use them.

Yes unless the developer makes the packs with blackberry launcher support, you can't use the packs unless you use another launcher. However you should be able to change the icons one by one if you have them in ping format on your device.

there's a whole bunch of launchers in Play Store that you may be able to use. Check out the screen shots and see if they change the icons look.

Nova Launcher, Apex Launcher, CM Launcher. Some of them show as free but make sure you pay attention to the "In-App Purchases". If they have those, then they're not full free launchers or very limited in functions until you purchase the in-app addons/purchases.

I have a OnePlue One with Cynogenmod 12.1s (Lollipop 5.1.1), so I have some experience with Android

Thank you for letting me know. The BlackBerry features are the most important with this adoption of Android (both hardware and software).

I don't mind exploring this on my own, but was hoping for some experienced feedback. I appreciate this.
