I will post this here as I don't want to start a new thread.

Now that you can officially buy the PRIV (I know doesn't ship till Nov). how long before we see a true/honest review of the device. I would assume there are some tech sites (crackberry included) that may have got there hands on one or will soon enough.

Well, in the last Podcast, he said he didn't know whether to mostly compare it to another Android or to a BlackBerry device during the review (I think it should be compared to Android devices, since the Priv is made to compete for the Android crowd.)

Should be an interesting review.

So, at least we know his review has already started... at least the planning of it in his head lol

To have it up for order now (Shop BB), and still have a lock down on full comprehensive hands-on reviews, makes no sense to me.

I have a fear that it's not being shown because it hasn't been fully finished, and I picture BB feverishly trying to get the thing ready for delivery Nov 6. Maybe the "BB Experience Suite" issues.

Is that true? A full review is never allowed before the device ship date?
BB just sent me an email. "Order your PRIV now", "Your PRIV is ready". But I'm not allowed to see how well it works first.

This still makes no sense. BB is expecting people to pre order a device no one has really seen. (2) 2-3 minutes leaked videos isn't good enough.

Don't get me wrong this looks like a great device but BB expects this device to do well by photos, specs and a couple of leaked videos that 90% of the population has never seen.

Agreed! Send out a few devices to Flossy Carter, MKBHD, Unbox Therapy, pocketnow, android central, Erica Griffin, Android Authority, wwjoshdew, etc.. and get them to do a 10 min video and in return they can keep one and give one away. Sending 2 to each youtuber(or even one if you want to be stingy) and getting those YouTubers to post a video will help a lot. That would cover probably 25-50% of the popular unboxers on there and if the reviews are good, then as Flossy says: this is definitely a win!

We know there is a NDA
We know it will expire soon
We know some people have the device
We know other people don't

What we want to know is: When will the NDAs expire so the people who do have the device will be able to post their reviews?
