Haven't seen this on the forum, but a lot of people that switched from BB10 to the Priv seem to search for Android replacements for some of their favourite BlackBerry 10 apps that are missing out of the box. SO here's a list of apps that might help the transition. If anyone else has any other suggestions feel free to add them and I'll edit the list. This is intended to be an evolving list based on CB Priv users feedback.

    BlackBerry Travel – Worldmate

    BlackBerry File Manager

    BlackBerry Browser – Habit Browser

    BlackBerry Blend – AirDroid

BlackBerry Link – Helium Backup (*May not work*)

BlackBerry Protect – Android Device Manager

BlackBerry Dark Theme SMS – Yaata SMS

I truly enjoy Solid Explorer. Customizable dark backround and themes. Very intuitive.

You sure Helium will work for PRIV? A user here reported it cannot access the all the areas the apps requires and thus does not work.

Well, there's two kinds of Helium backups, one requires root, and the other does not. But I'm not certain, do you have a link? I haven't tested the app personally on a Priv but I know it works on other non-rooted Android devices so I'd be surprised. I'll definitely scratch it off the list if that's the case!

Which Helium app requires root? The one I'm referring to is the one in your link by Koush Dutta of CWM.

Sorry, my bad, I was confusing Titanium and Helium. You're right, it doesn't require root whether free vs premium. If no one has any experience with it on the Priv I'll try it next time I'm with my friend and see if it works.

I edited the original post for now until it's confirmed that Helium works. Or doesn't, lol.
