Found a listing for a factory unlocked international Priv for CDN$499.00. Typically do these phones qualify for BlackBerry warranty and support?
I'd rather buy straight from BlackBerry but even on sale their price is still $749.00.

Typically BlackBerry doesn't do direct to consumer warranty claims, they require you to first deal with the authorised seller... S

Amazon does add a layer of support... but I'd only want to buy a PRIV from Amazon and not one of the resellers on their site.

Except the "Sold by Amazon" is listing for $782 there. No reason to buy it there when ShopBB is $749.

At that price it's almost certainly an unlocked AT&T unit.

The description says factory unlocked. Would that still be the AT&T version?

Says International, I'm leaning towards not even a -1 at all. My vote goes to -3.

The only factory unlocked versions that I am aware of come directly from BlackBerry, unless it is used. Only way to know for sure is to follow up with seller and press them and for answer. At any rate, the description sounds somewhat dubious, as does the price.

And just for the record I have run into this issue myself. It took three emails for them to finally admit it was an AT&T unit.
