So I have the home button lag issue, searched the forum for solutions and nothing has worked.
I can sometimes have a 4-5 second lag when pressing home button and I am at my wits end.
I read that there is a Google launcher, but what is the process.
Just uninstall blackberry launcher and install the new one? Will this effect any other things on the Priv

    Thanks

I have the same home button lag, and it's really annoying. I'm trying to decide if an autoloader is the answer to start fresh, but I've been wanting to wait for Marshmallow to come and do a fresh install with the newest OS. That, or use another launcher....i kinda like the shortcut feature of the BlackBerry one though.

I have done the hard reset, and also moved a lot of apps to SD card as I thought that might have been the problem.
I saw one post on that they removed folder on the home page, but I don't really want to do that.
    Hopefully marshmallow will fix it

I recently switched to Nova premium and love it. Animations are really smooth and you can choose effects and themes etc.

I finally felt like this phone is capable of much more than the stock BB apps. I still use the hub, but have been thinking about another mail client.

The hard reset doesn't seem to work for me. I hold the power button for a while then it just cycles between splash screen (the BlackBerry name), then vibrates, goes black, BlackBerry screen reappears, then is vibrates, goes black, over and over

I did the same and installed Nova luncher .I can tell you its much faster now and the home issue is fixed. I miss the swipe to show app quick view but I can live without it and prefer my phone to be faster.

Do what I did for the lag: uninstall the BlackBerry Launcher updates. It will revert back to the original Launcher version and the lag is gone.

Or use nova launcher. Very quick, no lag. Only issue is when using teslaunread for notifications, if you shortcut your email accounts to the home screen (i like having the 8 email accounts on the home screen), it shows that all accounts have emails, not just the ones that do (tesla reads the total hub amount). I emailed tesla, but they said very difficult to get the correct info from inside hub for each account, and they have no plans for trying in the future. However my launcher flies!!

Go into Settings then apps and select BlackBerry Launcher, then uninstall.
Because it's a stock system app, uninstalling won't install the whole thing, but it will just uninstall the updates made after it came out of the box.
One warning though, you'll lose your homescreen setting and have to redo them. Well worth it though. No lag.

I also experienced the lag issue which solved for me as such:

    - install nova launcher and activate it
    - switch back to blackberry launcher (you can do this in the nova settings).

I found this solution by accident as I did not want to recreate the home screens again

This seems to be a solution. Not lag now , and no having to redo home screen.

I've been using nova launcher. I like it a lot. I think high average score on google play is well deserved for nova. I like grouping icons in app tray. Also so many customizations for desktop.

I don't have a Priv, but I usually go for Nova on all Android devices. It's great; minimal yet versatile, and a good performer. (I have it on my quad core Android TV stick and my single-core Android backup phone. Works a treat all around!)

I've never had the lag occur myself, but I've only ever had Nova recommend. Someone else did suggest Arrow though.

The thing we need the most is a better integrated and optimized hub. I don't want to use messenger i want my text messages to be in the hub and i feel the hub is a little slow to respond (at least more than my z30)
