Hello Blackberry Android Fans

Well, things are getting exciting now--we've got a possible name for the BlackBerry Slider aka 'Venice' and I'm PUMPED

I've been harping on Blackberry (non) Marketing, but seeing this name I take it all back, especially once I heard what some of the alternatives were.

The 'Priv' is the apparently winner, but I have it on "good authority from a "trusted source" and "reliable leaker" (that used to be my film name) that these were under consideration.

The Lod (pronounced 'Load')
The Heav: (Pronounced 'Heave')
The Lam: (pronounced 'lame')
The Hag
The Smear
The Log
The Wet
The Suk
The Prik
The Smak (pronounced 'smack')
The Pimp
The clique (that actually could be kind of cool)
The Def (for defender?)
The Wad
The Reer (pronounced 'rear')
Lastly, and what I understand was the runner-up: The BlackBerry Taint.

We can just hope it isn't soon known as the BlackBerry Flop

Someone Comments for the news posts said that this Android-Blackberry Hybrid has a great name now.

The Priv Operating System...aka the POS. I lost it.

I thought "Venice" sounded professional / exotic.

I'm assuming "Priv" has some relationship with a marketing strategy - In that, I will be very dissapointed if they don't market this phone properly.

They should stick with Venice. Like everyone said, it sounds classy.

Next runner up....

Blackberry One. All the manufactures are going with the One thing. And since it is Blackberry's first Android-berry/Blackdroid - Blackberry One makes sense (to me).
