With all this lack of advertising....

With all this lack of advertising, why is it that I am hearing from more people I know(that don't use BB's or care) telling me that they heard a new Blackberry is coming out soon with Android on it? Outside of this site, I haven't heard or seen any advertising anywhere. Am I missing something here? Where are these non-crackberry folks hearing about this?

the word spreads quickly these days

There is a lot of chatter on Android sites.

I suspect the ads will start to come out when the carriers have the devices available to sell.

I agree but I'm hearing from people that don't care about BB's Android's or anything tech related which is interesting.
