You mean the last update almost 2 years ago?

    It's all BlackBerry ltd's fault.

They should have put the 801 of the Passport or whatever mid range 6xx series chipset was available at the time instead of this atrocious 808.

Guess they blew all the R&D money on the slider mechanism lol

Everyone thought the 808 would solve the issues of the overheating 810. I don't really fault BlackBerry or any of the many other OEMs that went with it. They were the first 64-bit SoCs, and a big step up from the 805.

It would have been inexcusable to not go with 64-bit at that time and purport to be a flagship-class device.

Qualcomm's own Kyro cores on the 820 essentially solved the problem (6 months later).

They should have gone with the tried and tested 801, sure the spec-heads would have complained about a $699 device running on the Galaxy S5's processor, but maybe they wouldn't have returned the phones in droves due to terrible, terrible performance.

Or it was just typical "BlackBerry bad luck" with Qualcomm's 808 chipset.

And BB ltd not updating the phone to Nougat didn't help matters either, as Nougat brought some significant battery efficiency improvements compared to MM.

It would have been AWESOME to have Nougat with its dual apps simultaneously on the screen and with the keyboard out, a true productivity set-up.

Yeah that screenshot would be one of my worst days, but I'm near that now about 50% of the time. I can get by on a work day pretty easily (don't have to/dont get to be on my phone much during work) but still usually have to charge it up on my drive home. On an off day I'd need to charge it 3-4 times w/ heavy use. Typing this out on my trusty KEYone w/ 26% remaining and a screen time total of 6hrs 21min so far.

Haha up to 3-4 times a day you have to charge your Priv??

As in 3-4 full charges from 0 to 100 ??

Might be time to change the battery?

On a heavy day yes. Unplug around 5 or 6 am, and after some YouT, fb, emails basically by 1030 I'm down to 20% so then I boost it to 65-70% in the car on lunch. When I get back from lunch I play Bluetooth on a boombox we have for 4-5 hrs, and intermittent txt and email, by 5pm when I'm leaving I'm down near 15% again. Boost it to a good 85-95% on my drive home and then between a Netflix movie and some calls I'll be below 35% again by bed time. Remember tho, my main new issue is after I unplug from a charger, I immediately drain a good 25-35% w/ in about 20 min even if the phone is dozing and I don't receive a single txt
