I envy you P9983 owners you have the best of the best.

If the P9983 could receive 2 phone lines it would be perfect.

I have invested over $1k on the Classic and a Q5 just so I could have 2 phone lines. Amazon has my dream phone for $1k now. Buyers remorse?

Just got on line and returned the ATT Classic and accessories, cancelled my Q5 and extras and will go to ATT today and cancel one phone line.

Ordered the Graphite P9983 just now. Any advise in setting this up?

To bad the P9983 doesn't have the ablity of 2 Phone lines. It would be perfect!-81meew9af4l._sl1500_.jpg

I imagine that by 2 phone lines you mean 2 numbers right ? Well I do have the closest thing if you will....one Carrier number and another number with G-Voice which rings into the same device which in essence is 2 different numbers, I keep my BlackBerries as stock as possible in terms of installing google apps and such so I use an app called Spare Phone from BBWorld which allows me to make calls from the second number (G-Voice) via Wi-Fi if the situation requires for that specific number to be registered instead of the carrier's number. It sounds complicated but it is not, just an option that may work for some.........

Set up goes as every other Blackberry, just remember that to update the software you use the 'Q-10 autoloaders' and in case that you are wondering, no you won't loose the clock or the font while updating.
Now about the available OS, some people get different results even with the same OS depending on various factors, I've tried them all up to 2339 and as of today I am using the 10.3.2.840 / radio 10.3.2.841, strongest signal and great battery too in my case.......... good luck !

I second Spare Phone for having an additional line, though wi-fi only using Google Voice. (You'll need a Google Voice account, which gives you a free number in the U.S. or Canada(?)). The only issue I ran into is that the interface doesn't like the square screen of my Q10 - graphics are smashed, though workable. I contacted the developer a while back but he didn't respond.

Oh, you might want to look into this, or something similar:

i have buyers remorse. to many things uncertain @ BlackBerry. If BB10 is abandoned like BB07 this is the same as a Bold 9900 Great phone with no software updates. I will wait for the 9984

Yes I do, not one bug so far, pretty smooth and strong signal in my case using it in South Florida with T-Mobile...
