    Well, I'm pretty sure we can't be any more disappointed than we had with Thor/BB's announcements in regards to the PB.

    Personally, I'm hoping Quack succeeds, if he doesn't, oh well. I believe a 'sit back and wait' approach is needed here.

    Beside, didn't Quack in the first place, say he's doing this for himself GSOC? If so, then the 'unlocking' of the PB is, imho, a bonus.

    Why does everyone think he can succeed? Its impossible. Its a ROM. READ ONLY. CANNOT BE WRITTEN. CANNOT BE MODIFIED. Theres nothing for him to succeed at. You are getting your hopes up for something that cannot ever happen. The only way it can EVER happen is if Blackberry allows it to happen (by creating a new bootloader signed with the proper keys that allows for a custom OS installation). Its not possible to ever do it any other way, you are wasting your time.

    If it is "read only" how RIM will write in it, as you said?
