How's this for pessimism? The PlayBook /was/ the target testing device for RIM to get BB10 up and running. When Thor became in charge, he asked his in-house developers what they would need to get things really moving and their answer was to have the target device be as close to the final device as possible - so emerged Dev Alpha and Dev Alpha B. Once this occurred, the PlayBook was left by the way-side for an update at "some later date". Once BB10 is launched and the PlayBook revisited, it will be found to have resolution issues with apps made for BB10 and since a higher resolution PlayBook is in the works, not much effort will be spent to fix all the broken apps (broken, as far as, apps displaying improperly). Most apps will work fine, but some will have weird display issues with buttons/lists/etc. (<--- All speculation on my part for pessimism.)
