    I am getting the same chime, at least for email. Are you talking about Bridge notifications?

    Ahhh I didn't realise they were bridge alerts.. Still a godawful sound though. Like something out of a horror flick

    it is october and halloween right around the corner, too bad we cant use custom sounds. I'd like to have a Muhahahahaha sound as my alert.

    Nope, not bridge alerts after all. Emails are coming through our the sound of a distorted gong sound. Torture!!!!

    Post a sound file, I'd love to hear it. I still have my dead sexy chime when emails/sms messages come in.

    A temporary solution would be to mute the volume.

    What phone do you have, and are you in the US? If the phone is the torch or the bold, then you are probably receiving the EAMs test which happens now and then.
