    so I just bought the Blackberry playbook 16 gig model but I bought it off a family member who never even used it and it was just sitting in the box for a long time well I got through everything creating the account and everything until it comes to software update your tablet could not be activated because of error 13235 3 and I've tried and tried and tried I don't know what's wrong please help I really need this for school

    You could try manually updating the PlayBook to the newest (and final, and from 2014...) OS version using a Windows PC. If you have a Windows PC and a micro USB cable, download these two files:

    BlackBerry Desktop Software: https://swdownloads.blackberry.com/D...247A852FAD3647

    2.1.0.1917 factory image: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B3...Flpa2lYdWM1aEE

    Download both, install the desktop software, extract the factory image .7z file (use this), and it'll wipe and update your PlayBook. It should get you through initial setup, and if not, then the problem is on BlackBerry's end. As well, the desktop software is from 2013, so it doesn't always play well with newer versions of Windows.

    Desktop Software or the factory image? Desktop Software is only needed for USB drivers, I think.
