i have not been able to open any application on my PlayBook. when i click on an application to open it, it comes on but just shuts down on its own. Same thing with the browser. I have done security wipe and successfully went through the processes that follow after the security wipe. But the problem still persists without even adding any application. please help

What are the "processes that follow after the security wipe"? Did you restore from a backup?

thanks for your reply. didn't restore from backup. just the normal setup procedure - setting up wifi , bridging with a bb smartphone, software update etc
