    Hi all,

I have a Blackberry Playbook os which Ive had for roughly a year and a half. Im not very technically gifted and as this post goes on probably not very bright either.

Loved the tablet (initially) when I got it, used it for all sorts of stuff, when my son was born I took many photos and videos. This prompted me to try to download them onto my computer which is where my problems started. When trying to connect I was asked for a password, and though I never remember setting one I had one written down and tried it again and again and again until Im now at last chance saloon.

I realise one more time I should have created a back (and remembered the password) up but thats gone now!!!!

So Im on the 10th attempt, before I go for broke with nothing more than an educated guess is there away of resetting this security password or am I basically goosed and resigned to a reset with the loss of all photos.

Just to clarify also I will lose everything photos, videos, music and apps and there is no way once the reset is done to get them back.

Cheers any help or as I expect clarification would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!!!

If your Playbook has been set up to share files over wifi, you should be able to access it and the files on it via your PC over wifi, without needing a password. That way, at least, you can copy all of your pics, vids, etc., off of it before it wipes itself.

Yes you will lose everything, the device will factory reset.

So can you still open/use the pb??

Or can you not log into it.

If you've never had to use a pass before. I don't understand why it's started now??

If you can use the pb I'd suggest uploading your files using eg dropbox /box app...

Yes, it asks for the PW... I think you get 5 attempts... Sadly.

But try as you do with a flashdisk... look into the file manager, not via Link software...

You might find a folder/drive, so copy its content...

    Good luck!
