Just discovered a work around for switching Android apps
- This method applies when home launcers like Go Launcher EX, Honeycomb are used.
- Background
Sick of clicking on back back back or swipe bottom left/right until back home screen then launch another app? Want to retain status of the current running app like news story of a rss reader and go back later on? One of my complaints of the Android runtime - there isn't a home button like Android phones to press and hold.
- Environment:
Playbook OS 2.0.0.7971
Launcher: Go Launcher EX, Go Task Manager Widget.
- How:
Because the Android run-time can only have one instance running at a time, when switch to another android app, just swipe up to bring Go launcher icon on QNX interface. Click on it and select Go launcher EX. Now back to Go Launcher home screen. Long press an icon of running app in the Go Task Manager Widget. Done!
Hope it helps.Last edited by i-love; 02-25-12 at 08:46 AM.
