Have anybody tried to test Instagram on OS 2.1 BETA? I just wanna know before I upgrade to the BETA software.

P.S.: Is everything on the BETA working fine?

Instagram (the Android one) will never work on Playbook.
    Same deal as Skype.

All the cool stuff is done with native binaries.

RIM's Android Player only runs Dalvik (Java).

Instagram doesn't work, tried it. But it's not because of the Runtime, the app itself launches, but then Instagram shows some kind of warning about registration code or somehing like this, don't remember exactly. So it actually works as an app, but is protected by developers or something.

Otherwise 2.1 works fine for me, Android multitasking is perfect, android apps work much smoother, so I would recommend it even w/o Instagram, but not all users have such luck. Quiet a few people have flash and other issues, just browse the forums for more info

Large parts of the actual program --- like digital filters --- are written in native codes.

Just because it gives you a splash screen, doesn't mean that it would run.
