If you broke it, most cases with core apps simply replacing the .bar won't work. Better off just downloading the OS and just reloading it.
did a wipe and de-brick. camera still doesnt work.
I guess my optons are wait for bb10 and see if that fixes it, or wait for pb2. I dont feal like sending it back to rim. its over a year old and has a cracked screen.
they might charge for a relpacement one.
I believe Scrid had made a video camera bar file you can get in appworld. It would at least let you know if the camera is working. Did you try video chat to see if the camera works?
First you have to uninstall the camera app with DDPB.
Just select the app (bb10camera.bar) and hit uninstall. Than You can reinstall the 2.1 camera app.
If that won't wont, try updating to the full Bb10 beta, an than downgrade.
Or, try using the android Camera app which is part or the PB's android runtime. You can access it by installing "Quick App Manager" from app world, then by clicking on Camera from Quick's homescreen, and then open. It can do essentially everything the native app can do, and a few things that the native app can't.
Try the basic approach i.e. through BlackBerry Desktop Software... I just tried the Beta BB10 for PlayBook and able to return to official OS afterwards using the desktop software...
I'm curious - was there a thread that suggested that the bb10 camera worked and what did if offer (that time lapse stuff?)?
