If you have the latest OS (1.0.8.xxxx), the android leaked player does not work.
If you want to have access to Android player, you need to sign up for the developer 2.0 beta which includes it already (no icon).

    Hey.

I have just got a BBPlaybook and similar question.

I've upgraded to version 2.0 beta, as stated, but am a bit confused. With no icon, how do we run / get to android apps.

I have been google around, and there seems to be an online convertor thing here :

    https://bdsc.webapps.blackberry.com/android/bpaa/

but it doesn't seem to run on a mac, is that the right way forward, download apk's and then shove them on there ?

Thanks for all and any help

There is no android player icon in 2.0.
if you have those icons, you are not using developer 2.0, they got rid of the tabs used for where apps go. It's now like IOS in that all icons for apps are out in the open.

    hey,

    glad you got it working.

I'm still stuck / trying to figure out how to do it, (the guide seems to be for windows only), can i do it from a mac?

    (1) download the java runtime software. there you will see the option for mac os.
    (2) download the DDPB installer, in step two, just click link (blue) and from there should download. you will need to have runtime installed before installing DDPB. when you have all that done, click on DDPB and follow the instructions the dude sent us. it will tell ya how to find IP Dev. Mode on your playbook, etc.
    (3) go to this website and from there, with DDPB open, you can transfer any downloaded app files to your PB.
