I was able to upgrade to 10.0.6 yesterday from 10.0.4 (the upgrade never got past installing 0% from 2.1) and was able to use dingleberry to downgrade right back down to 2.1. I am having some bridge issues now and may need to wipe my PlayBook, but downgrading from 10.0.6 is possible.
I used CFP to upgrade to 10.0.4.197 with file (qcfm.image.com.qnx.coreos.qcfm.os.sdk.desktop.BB1 0_0_04.197.196525.signed) side loaded a few apps and games, play angry birds space, played words, went on the web and then downgraded with CFP back to 2.0.1.358 with file (qcfm.image.com.qnx.coreos.qcfm.os.factory_sfi.des ktop.358.186652.signed)
So I was on OS 2.0.1 and loaded 10.0.6.386 using CFP and now my playbook won't get passed the wifi/setup option.... Great.... looks like reload 358 and use Dingleberry
I assume you tried rebooting?
CFP might be your best option.
Not sure if it actually matters (or was due to some other issue), but I couldn't get 10.0.6 to install from 2.1.0 using Dingleberry, I had to be on 10.0.4.
I got it to work using Dingleberry.. But, it seems that the S-voice doesn't work at all. Before I reloaded 358 and tried again, that was the only thing that worked. It said "voice recognition requires network"- or something to that effect.. But now it doesn't do anything since I reloaded. Weird
Hello all, I am unable to downgrade 10.4 to 2.0.1 ... It tried with dingleberry and DDPB but still be on 10.4 .
How did you do to downgrade. Security wipe delete all apps but still be in 10.4.

DDPB can't downgrade I don't think. You need to take the file from the 2.0.1 update that ends in "signed.bar" and put it in the "custom" folder inside the "firmware" folder of Dingleberry, then run Dingleberry, go to the Firmware section, choose "Custom" and then install. If you still have the 10.4 signed.bar in the "custom" folder, delete it or move it somewhere else so you ONLY have the 2.0.1 signed.bar file in that folder.
YEah! works now downgrade from 10.4 to 2.0.1.358 . For others in my case don't forget to tick "FULL OS" in dingleberry and NOT 'core OS" .
Many thanks Sifjar.
You can only change the BBID after a security wipe.
If you wipe your son's PlayBook, you can set the BBID to match.
That being said, if you buy a second computer do you demand a free copy of Office from Microsoft?
This has broken my playbook,
Went to do security wipe, chose selected country, now I am on a blank blue screen with nothing on (which is meant to be the wifi page of the setup)
Upgraded no problems but won't recognize PB anymore via USB just gets stuck on installing drivers screen on PB.
Tried on my desktop and laptop both running windows7 same issues.
Both machines will recognize my other 2 PB's just this 1 after upgrade but seems to be running fine besides that.lol
Any way of loading the drivers manually?
Really don't want to do a security wipe.
Thanks
