Im new on here I dont know weather if im posting in the Wright place.

My blackberry playbook is facing an issue on the start up when I select language and then go next to the wifi screen, no wifi signals are displayed.
It only shows Manuel wifi input or wps router connect I have tried both but no success.
Is this an boot rom problem, I have no idea....
If any one has had this issue please shed some light it would be great full.
I have searched the net but no one has pointed out the problem or a fix!

    Hey thanks for your reply,
Its strange iv tried two different routers. Mines a sky, and my brothers house which he has a virgin media.
The play book aint picking no wifi up. Manuel wifi input doesnt work either. Or wps.
when I turn the playbook on is says select language and when I swipe to next wifi screen it doesn't go past that? :-(
WIFI needs to be set to go past that sceen anol.

I'm assuming you've bought it recentlly and you've just been trying to set it up for the first time?? so you don't know if the wifi has prev worked (if its an used playbook)......I don't really know what else to suggest as you've already tried re updating.....sorry :-(

    Hi.
    Thanks for your reply.
    The Playbook is my brothers,
    Well its mine now;-).
I asked him how did come to that,
He said after a wipe it went back to the initial setup but won't go past the wifi screen.
He said the wifi was working,
    Unless its not working now.
It might need a new wifi device inputted I don't know.
But I was finding out weather if somebody had the same issue and new the fix to it.
Iv tried the plus and minus volume key and power button n held it for 20 secs but still the same.
In the initial sart up the wifi should of detected my home wifi or even my mobile phone wifi hot spot or even the neighbours protected wifi should of been detected but it comes blank with nothing displayed. I don't know weather if its a firmware rom problem its driving me mad.

Iv seen a few same discussion topic but no one has explained the fix.
I don't no weather if I down grade it might solve the problem.
I have managed to get the cfp program its just trying to understand on how to use it. A few people have mentioned autoloader but no one is showing a video link or clear instructions on how to use it.

Go and stand right in front of your WiFi router. Set up the connection manually. If it still doesn't work then it's a dud, sorry.

it def sounds like wifi not working if its not even picking up neighbours wifi. if it def worked before clean install I think the only alterntive is to try an older os install...you never know it may sort it out and there doesn't appear to be any alternatives.....

How far with your Playbook ? Were you able to finally get past the issue because I am currently facing the same challenge now with my Playbook, click on my profile and read my thread where I explained the same issue. Thanks.
