And it doesn't. You are looking at PC stuff --- which netflix uses silverlight. On the android side, silverlight doesn't exist (it barely exists on windows mobile).

I'm looking at the browser. I never mentioned Android to begin with (or Windows PHONE for that matter). Is that clearer now?
But you responded on a comment about netflix app, and I responded to that. Is that clearer now?
A complete waste of time. Youtube freezes the browser, bridge email still loops indefinitely. Poor RIM, where are the going? How does one do a factory reset?
Did I really? Well, enough of this. Guess it's all clear enough now.
Youtube is working for me as usual on the browser. With Flash off I was getting "video not available" messages.
Funny, everything is working just fine here. Sorry you're having problems. Did you try a second reboot (real reboot - old vol+, power buttom, vol- till you get a red ligh on the led)?
For a "debrick", plug your turned-off PB to Desktop Software and agree to update the OS.
Huh? You are having all those issues? Which apps are you currently developing?
Beta is beta...
ok... so if i read this correctly then here is what we have:
Netflix - No
Skype - No
Sideloading - YES
Multi-Android Usage - YES
Stability Improvements - YES
Are those correct? and what else is added/removed or improved...
I just want sideloading and that is pretty much it. but it would be nice to know all the features in one post, like a list rather then going through 16 pgs (i only went through the last 5)
I no longer have a NetFlix account so I can't test it in the browser, but yep, it seems about right.
One question, how to backup my data?
what about launching multiple android apps at once? its a def improvement.

Hitting the caps lock then backspace works as a forward delete now, just like on the bb phones. Worth the upgrade just for that, at least for me it is.
Plug the PB to Desktop Software on either a PC or a Mac.
I just had Wordpress and Kindle open, each on its sweet own window. :)
Check the other thread on PlayBook apps and Skype...there is some hints that netflix might be coming at some point...with the drm software netflix needs in os2.1
Kindle, Android's native Twitter app and IMDB side by side by side.
All work like a charm.
Visually, no much difference. I want to see if the Formula1.com live timing works on this new OS but I dont think it will work.
Performance wise, no significant difference. Its not as if you see app open at double the speed or whatsoever.
I am looking forward for new great Android app that will make use of the camera and do something cool.

Hbo go seems to work now. I tried use it before it froze after 3 minutes. I play it for 15 min with no issues. Has anyone else who can try Hbo go see they think it's working properly now.
Awesome! Thanks. Really tempted to update now...
Just to let you know, Formula 1 2012 Live Timing works fine in 2.1.0.560.
It blows up half way through because it attempts more tests than the rest of the browsers.

did everyone wipe prior to installing or just install over?

consider its a beta for devs to test apps. some or many apps wont necessarily work properly.

Can i downgrade to any other versions after upgrading to 2.1 ?? And i wonder if anyone can get offline file for 2.1 Beta for more fast update ?!
Temple Run - No.
Any idea as to what apps aren't working?
