8520 is capable of speeds of only upto EDGE which is roughly 100-200 kbps.. Not much to run YouTube videos at good quality.

You can try loading at 240p wait for it to buffer and then hit play.

Sometimes the Mobile YouTube site does not work for all users, since it relies on APN settings. I had to change my APN to www from blackberry.com that was given to me to make YouTube work. Even though I'm on 3G.. the Mobile YouTube site does not always work..

Make sure you are on the Desktop version of the site. Will take some time.. but it works..

Alternatively, you can get hold of TubeMate (Android app) and have it sideloaded on your PlayBook. That way you can download the video instead of trying to stream it.

1.) It will save you from any additional costs.
2.) It supports resume download function, which you will need on EDGE network.

I've thought about tubemate. Some video's with my 8530 work, others I need to pause and let them buffer a bit. Still nice to be able to drive down the road with it available though.
