I know other people have posted about this before, but was gob-smacked by the positive change

As a very early PB adopter, have upgraded with every new OS - after each upgrade, there seemed to be a slightly longer keyboard lag

Thanks to previous posts recommending this action.... this w/e, I backed up, security wiped, and restored

WOW!! Absolutely no keyboard lag any longer, instantaneous response, both in bringing the keyboard up, and in typing into the keyboard (the biggest previous lag, was when unlocking the device)

Strongly recommended for all who are currently suffering from keyboard lag (note: the backup and restore processes did take hours...)

Is there somewhere a tutorial available which shows how to do a security wipe and restore?

no idea about a tutorial, but it is a pretty simple thing to do....

    1) backup your PB using Desktop Mgr - (check that the backup has fully completed, by a. noting the amount it says will be backed up, & b. confirming that the size of the backup file is approximately the same size)
    2) PB -> Settings (eg cog) -> Security -> Security Wipe (follow the instructions, v simple)
    3) restore the backup to your PB
    4) et voila! one super-speedy lag-less PB
