Hi, I went to video call my wife today, she was in wifi network, i wasnt, but bridged to my 9900. Call wouldn't go through, say check wifi or mobile network options and try again. I thought if bridged, it would go through, no? Do I have to set up mobile hotspot or something if I'm not in a wifi zone?

Video chat requires a WiFi connection. Doesn't matter where you find it but in the current implementation you must have WiFi (not sure if mobile hotspot will have enough bandwidth).

Wifi hotspot from a hotspot capable device will work. It will seriously be affected by the 4G signal strength but it will work.

I suspect that video chat would or could use a ton of data bandwidth if you were bridging to a phone and Rim probably did not want to irritate carriers too much. Similarly, appworld needs wifi and I don't believe it works by bridge.

Keep in mind you cannot video chat if both PBS share the same BBID.
