At this point I am pretty convinced that Playbook has issues with some wireless routers. Many people here (myself included) said they've had dropped connections on some routers but not on others. My connection drops pretty randomly, about every 10 minutes, on the home router but not at work. So I'm thinking of getting a new home router.

Those of you who have not had any wi-fi issues, could you post what router you use? And those who do have connection problems, please post which one you use. Hopefully this will be helpful to those deciding which router to buy.

My home router that gives me problems is dlink WBR 1310.

No issues, connection is consistently strong and never drops, even outside in the driveway which is on the opposite side of the house to the router. I have an older Linksys WRT54G.

    Also, internet is Comcast.

No issues here and I'm using a SMC8014WN.

I like Speczorz idea. Post the link to the router in case someone wants info on them.

An old V3 WRT54G with DD-WRT v24-sp2 at home. A cheap Linksys 120N at the cottage and an array of Cisco 1250 and 1140 access points at work. My Playbook works with all of them.

I'm using Airport Extreme (not perfect even for Macs, but mostly work).

Used to have two D-Link routers, lots of issues.

I currently have a 2-Wire router from AT&T for my DSL which is in my garage and takes care of all my wired computers. Even though it's wireless I also have a Linksys router from T-Mobile that is supposed to optimize my calls on my 9700 using UMA. I connect my Playbook and laptops through the Linksys router. Since the PB supports N I am thinking of upgrading my router.

Netgear dirt-cheap sad-looking router supplied by my cable broadband company Virgin. No complaints though on performance or distance. Even at the far end of my garden reception is good.

I have had absolutely no problems with my Airport Extreme, even from two floors up. I also haven't had any issues staying connected to wi-fi at work. Sorry about the Apple product but it works!

No problem with Verizon Fios Router as everything works well.
But there is a problem with the NetGear Extender WN2000RPT (as I need extra coverage in parts of the house), as the Playbook will connect but the browser will not work. (FYI, IPad and Torch work just fine with the NetGear Extender.)

Apple Airport Extremes in using WIDS, works great. Only issue is when I come home from work I need to just open the WiFi preferences for it to kickstart the WiFi process.

At home - I have Verizon FIOS and their router is Actiontec
On the GO - I have Sprint 3G/4G Overdrive PRO mobile Hot Spot - and I connect PB using the sprint as a wi-fi access point.

    Both work seamlessly.
