I wonder if someone know why rim hasn't keep up updating to the latest flash player 11.1.11? And why they didn't update it in today's software update? Flash acces? Adobe air 3.2? Can someone with knowledge on this topic can explain me why they haven't keep up with this on the last 2 software updates?
I know adobe did stop developing for mobile but I'm pretty sure I did read a letter from balsilie when adobe did the first announcement last year about stopping support for mobile plug in for new device, but balsilie did say RIM as partner licensing or something like that... RIM was able to continue developing our own flash!!! I'm sure the old CEO did say that, that's why I'm asking!!!

NO!!... I know HTML5 is something way different.... I'm sure someone else did read balsilie wrote, he did said playbook was committed to flash and HTML5 on future updates, he did that letter because a lot of us were concerned back then when adobe did the first announcement last year. And I forgot to mention, adobe didn't kill adobe air,and playbook still hasn't updated to air 3.2...why? And what about flash acces? Adobe hasn't killed either, and RIM for some reason haven't keep up!
The latest flash player update from my android phone is. 11.1.111.10 that's the real lates flash version out there!! And. Adobe air is 3.3.0365 those are really The latest on adobe! Why RIM still behind? They can't even keep up with these... What do you think would be bb10???

Where do you get Android version of Flash 11.1.111.10 is later than BB's PB version of Flash being 11.1.121.42. I think you need to have your eyes checked.

Give the android fanboy a break. Hes probably tired from spending all day trying to get his android phone to work right
According to RIM's tech specs, the flash version on PlayBook 4G is supposed to be 11.2 enabled -- whatever that means. I presume we'll get another update "soon" with a new flash player on all PlayBooks.
Adobe has not stopped working on mobile Flash. They have just stopped working on the Flash plugin in mobile browsers. On mobile platforms, they are focusing on Flash (AIR) apps rather than delivery via web pages.

I'm not a android fan boy, so why do I owe a playbook? I'm just asking a question, that's what this forum is for, but always is a suker like you who got some smart comment to say

Very much like you cannot compare RIM versions without knowing the full
version, so the same can be said about Adobe flash.

When was 11.1.121.42 released? With the 2.0.1.668 update? But, which Adobe release does 11.1.121.xx actually map to?
As I understand it the pulled update 2.0.1.668 did have the flash update which took care of the security issues. I got the update before it was pulled and have not noticed any problems with it. My desktop manager is however at the earlier version so I am not going to connect to it for fear of a muddle.
