Yes this unfortunate hi-jacking in Chesterfield, Ind has probably deprived many Ontario households of a gifts to open on the 25th. Only a true Grinch could find any humour at all in this episode.
I'm sure RIM knows the serial numbers. I don't think these PB's could ever be registered. Hopefully they find them before a lot of consumers get screwed.
Hmmm! That's one way to get rid of excess inventory! The people who will get hurt the most are the ones who buy these stolen tablets. Each has a unique PIN and registering them might be impossible. That's one good thing about RIM's security. If people who buy them get burned we may find who stole them. Let's hope the Mounties get their man or men.
