Okay, this should be fun...with the additional opportunity to brag a little...
U-S born, still live in Pittsburgh. I've been a RIM stockholder since the share price was (accounting for the 3 for 1 split years ago) $2.05....so, while I maybe could have sold out at RIM's peak, I've still held on, still believing...and still above water, at least....and this is for my retirement, so I can be patient As I don't believe BlackBerry's best days are behind it, I also went long in my paltry online brokerage account, where so far my faith has been rewarded.
I've been a BlackBerry owner after that first stock purchase, when a Pearl 8100 virtually fell into my hands while I was using an LG 8100 (quite a coincidence, really). As I outgrew that phone, I moved on to a Bold 9700 on first day of release, and then my current Bold 9900, also on first day of release (31 Aug 11). And I and my wife have a total of three PlayBooks...1 each for us, also (pre-) purchased on first day of release (which would make it 19 Apr 11) and then another one I bought after deep discounts told me that I couldn't afford NOT to have a backup in the event of loss or other catastrophe, since I depend so much on my PlayBook...doing this on mine, now.
My PlayBook purchase came after a fair bit of research, shortly after the iPad came out. I wanted to know if it was possible to tether an iPad to my BlackBerry, as I balked at having to get another data plan for the iPad, which we all have to admit is actually a fairly appealing device. I must have entered the right keywords, as one of the articles found while searching related a rumour (probably here, in CrackBerry) that RIM was working on a tablet that would be a companion to and share a data plan with a BlackBerry phone.
Well, after waiting a year(!) and all sorts of pans that Palm failed with their companion tablet, as well as the unfortunate (but I suspect, necessary) premature release of the "unfinished" PlayBook, I got the aforementioned pair of PlayBooks...at the then-premium full price, at that.
But I wouldn't have it any other way.
Netherlands, near Amsterdam, have bought 4 playbooks already since the Launch almost 2 years ago. Love the Playbook!

PB and Z10 :)
Columbus, Ohio here. Not far enough south but at least farther south than Ontario weather wise. Got my Playbook January 2012. Got my Torch 9850 first day it was available. In the archives I have 2 Curve 8330's, a 7250, and a 7100. I too am hooked on the bridge feature of Playbook with my Torch so I'm going to wait a bit on the Z10, however I'm really pumped about the potential success of the Z10 and I suspect I will get one this year. My Playbook is 16G so I have been keeping a lookout for a 32 or 64. My dream BB would be a 4X6 screen on a slider of some sort. A guy can dream can't he?
West Des Moines, IA
Own a storm 2, picking up my Z10 this month. Had my 32g PB since Christmas 2012.
Gainesville, Florida, USA! Go Gators!!!!
I started with a Curve 8330 years ago and have never looked back! I bleed BlackBerry. I got a 16g Playbook the first week of launch (my daughter has it still) and I have since gotten a 64g that I use on a daily basis.
I absolutely WILL have a Z10 in my kung-fu grip by the end of this month. The only question is whether it will be with ATT or Verizon.
Greetings from Pensacola, Fl., home of the whitest beaches on the Gulf and the Blue Angels. I bought my PB on Day-1, have used a Torch for a couple of years, and am looking forward to a new AT&T Z10 in 8 days. But who's counting....?
Guildford, Surrey, UK for me. I bought my PlayBook in December when it was very cheap. Its a but of love-hate relationship at the moment as things that work one day don't always work the next (and vice versa). All's well right now and my calendar's started working again :) (Curve 9320 as well..)
Northeast USA. Had the 64gb PlayBook pre-ordered the day they started taking pre-orders. Mostly love it, especially the bridge. Still waiting for real browser bookmark maintenance, and I'm occasionally disappointed with the sluggish browser performance, but I still wouldn't have any other tablet. Can't wait for BB10!
Bellefontaine, Ohio. Got my PlayBook November 2012 and Bridged with my 9930. I bought my wife's PlayBook in February 2013. The PlayBook ROCKS!
Greeting to all fellow PB owners!!
I'm from the UK (A little bit north of London).
Have had my PlayBook for 2-3 months, and like it very much so far.
Don't own a BB phone, and never have. I'm tempted by the Z10 though, having used the Playbook. I will have to see next time I come to upgrade.
Zaventem, Belgium.
First BB was a 8320, then a 8520 and now a Torch 9810 (waiting for the Z10)
the PB 16 GB in 2011... use it, since then, every day.
I laughed when I read this I am also on the hamilton/stoneycreek border where their happens to be a mall under construction lol
I am a previous bb user a 9300 but right now I just have my playbook
Lancaster, Pa. Home of the Amish Mafia:)
Owned PlayBook Sept of 12. Had a BB since 08.
Auld Scotia here (hehehe) bought myself PB for my birthday after comparing a few in Oct 12, perfect fit and specs.
Was in the market for a cheapo tablet at 70-80 rather than typing into a netbook on the sofa for browsing and commuting, ended up paying the extra for PB at 129.99, netbook retired and given away to a new home. NO regrets. Waste of 300 on a Acer One 725 regret tho :( Oh well least old man's happy lol.
Roll on BB10PB :D
Germany, near Kiel. Got the playbook in 01/2013. My smartphone is a samsung omnia w (Windows Phone 7.5). Using my Windows Live account on the playbook rocks!
Indonesia here. Had mine for over a year now. One of the best purchase i've ever made. Still use it today. :)
Revelstoke BC. Blackberry fan. But, I have to admit, I find myself using my PlayBook just a little bit less now that I have this awesome new Z 10!!
I really do love my PB though too.

From Lindsay, Ontario. Got my PlayBook Dec. 2011 in the employee sale. Had an android phone at the time. Kept hearing about bridge, so I gave the android to my son and got myself a Curve 9360. Love it. Cracked the screen on my 16gb PlayBook so bought a 32gb from my son when he upgraded to a 64gb. Now I keep one in the bedroom on the dock at all times and the other in my office on the dock at all times. Unless of course I am playing Baublez, my newest addiction. The cracked screen has not affected using the 16gb PlayBook.
