OP: Why are you asking? Did you receive some sort of notification? As far as we know, OS2 will not be available until the end of October, at the earliest.
If you read the link the op gave they have no idea what is even supposed to be in 2.0. On top of that the OP of the linked post doesn't seem to have installed it since he/she doesn't even know if it has any new language keyboards. Big fail, though would be a nice surprise. I'll wait until we see a main page post here on crackberry.
Yes waiting for an Arabic keyboard and Android app support... Can't believe they've been selling this unit in the middle east since June and there's still no Arabic keyboard. Actually, given the RIM track-record, I suppose I can.
Looking closer at the OP link, I noticed that the person who posted the software update question had created their profile a mere 42 minutes ago. Picture attached.
new to the forum, this is my first post. i just picked a playbook this morning at staples and the employee made a weired comment about me having to upgrade the software myself and i said it was no big deal, but then he went on to say that rim was having this sale because the "new" playbooks will have the os already installed on them and are trying to get rid of the current inventory. it could be that be playbooks with os 2.0 are on their way, or it could mean absolutely nothing and he didn't give me a time frame or anything like that

I find that Staples employees have many differing opinions. But even if this were the case, as long as the new OS will run on your device, updating yourself is a small price to pay for the discounts we're seeing right now.
