Same, the random crashes are creeping me out. Also maybe a fix for having the screen unlock when you swipe it (as opposed to pressing the power button).
I barely get browser crashes just once or twice since OS 2.0 came out and I am a heavy use user especially with media. I think RIM has done a great job fixing the extensive random crashes atleast from my experience. As for the Android player, I do agree its still buggy. Sometimes it won't load and would just be stuck in a blank screen until I reboot and other times it would just crash. But then again I don't use the android player all that much so it not a huge deal to me.

It'll here be tomorrow night. Here's something you can watch to hold you over in the meantime. It's about 6 minutes long, but well worth it. Not trying to draw any parallels, but it's just plain funny.
    What time tonight?

Ain't gonna happen guys, RIM has more pressing matters. The OS works well enough for the foreseeable future.

2.0.1 RC Build is out. FYI, the time it took for 2.0.0 to release from its first RC build was roughly 2 weeks. So you do the math.

I had heard there was a release candidate for 2.0.1 well over two weeks ago... The reason they're "candidates" is because somebody thinks there's a chance they may be the final thing. If more problems are identified, they become just another version that doesn't get released and the next one becomes a "release candidate" too. They're probably on the 12th "RC build" by now, if not many more than that.

    It'll come when it comes...

Yes, what you said is the idea behind RC builds.

No you cannot. It's a RIM internal build only.

Thanks for clarifying that. Where did you get the info that 2.0.1 RC is out at RIM?

No date yet. But as I mentioned, 2.0 was released within 2 weeks of its first RC build. My expectation would be 2.0.1 releasing next week or the week after.

I heard it from a RIM employee, several weeks ago. Quite possible that employee simply misunderstood another internal beta as being an RC. Not really important I suppose... I'm sure your RIM employee is much more reliable than my RIM employee on the matter. ;-)

Nah, they are now busy trying to figure out how to screw sideload users but not totally screw developers. That could take 6 months knowing Rim-Time.

There's no news on the release date. 2.0.1 will be only bugfixes from my understanding. 2.1 will have bigger changes.

It won't take long F2. Developers already are using AppWorld for Beta testing, it uses your BBID so only those on the 'list' can access the App for testing.
