Same, the random crashes are creeping me out. Also maybe a fix for having the screen unlock when you swipe it (as opposed to pressing the power button).
I barely get browser crashes just once or twice since OS 2.0 came out and I am a heavy use user especially with media. I think RIM has done a great job fixing the extensive random crashes atleast from my experience. As for the Android player, I do agree its still buggy. Sometimes it won't load and would just be stuck in a blank screen until I reboot and other times it would just crash. But then again I don't use the android player all that much so it not a huge deal to me.
It'll here be tomorrow night. Here's something you can watch to hold you over in the meantime. It's about 6 minutes long, but well worth it. Not trying to draw any parallels, but it's just plain funny.
I had heard there was a release candidate for 2.0.1 well over two weeks ago... The reason they're "candidates" is because somebody thinks there's a chance they may be the final thing. If more problems are identified, they become just another version that doesn't get released and the next one becomes a "release candidate" too. They're probably on the 12th "RC build" by now, if not many more than that.
I see, thanks for posting that , any info on a potential release date
No date yet. But as I mentioned, 2.0 was released within 2 weeks of its first RC build. My expectation would be 2.0.1 releasing next week or the week after.
There was no RC build for 2.0.1 until today. I am not sure where you heard that.
I heard it from a RIM employee, several weeks ago. Quite possible that employee simply misunderstood another internal beta as being an RC. Not really important I suppose... I'm sure your RIM employee is much more reliable than my RIM employee on the matter. ;-)
Nah, they are now busy trying to figure out how to screw sideload users but not totally screw developers. That could take 6 months knowing Rim-Time.
It won't take long F2. Developers already are using AppWorld for Beta testing, it uses your BBID so only those on the 'list' can access the App for testing.
