    I really appreciate all the input. Thank you. I could get only 3 of the 20 Apps I carefully sideloaded to my Playbook to actually open. What a waste of time. So I packed it up and sent it back to Amazon for a refund, which is really straightforward to do and they even pay shipping. And I bought a Google Galaxy 7.2 for $269 with free shipping from them. But I'm sticking with my Q10, Which I enjoy using. And all those Apps sideloaded fine onto it. Go figure.

    Enjoy it. As you found the Android on pb is different than the one on the new bb10 phones. So more apps might run in the newer environment.

    OP - staying loyal in the face of the phone not suiting your needs is in essence the central tenets of 'fanboism'. Its a personal decision, and no one can judge you for it.
