Oh God, I remember when I was pulling an pre-exam all nighter years (well, let's face it, decades ago) for a very difficult Middle Eastern history exam (Iran was still Persia at the time, by the way). I got distracted by "Hawaii 5-0," which I had never watched before and the movie, "Tea and Sympathy." My friends in the same class all did the same thing. We came in laughing about lines from the movie, in which a prep school guy was bullied by his classmates; their euphemism for accusing him of being gay was that he had "soft hands." Deborah Kerr, as the Head Master's wife, reassures him by shtupping him, saying the famous line, "Years from now when you talk about this, and you will, be kind."
