A couple of days ago my playbook wouldn't turn on even on the charger... It would just blink red twice and stay off. I was able to connect it to the computer and "repair" .. But once I did the repair and the playbook update, it's been stuck on the animation screen that says blackberry with the things moving around.

Is there any way to fix this? Maybe restoring or redownloading an OS. Or is there anything simpler? I left it on for an hour and it stayed off that screen. Any help would be appreciated thanks!!!!

Hi! Have you tried repeating the process you did (i.e. connecting PB to DM and choosing the "Update" option)?
For now, that's the only option I could think of.
I got stuck on the software update screen once, and that's what I did to work around the problem.

So back to this post... I have tried letting the battery die and restarting it... I've tried turning it off, plugging it into DM on both my mac and windows PC (and let them download the de-brick OS and still nothing) It turns on and stays on the Blackberry Playbook animation screen I'm gonna give tech support a call but I'm pretty sure there's nothing else I could do about it

Erm... Leaving these batteries to dry out makes them last less in he long run... Avoid doin that.

thanks for the advice, I'm just a little frustrated. Because my playbook was working perfectly fine until this happened to me.

I'm on the phone with support now, hopefully something can be done about this.

The battery has to be over 20% before it will install.

Which OS were you running? (hope not the beta...)
How will you be able to install another OS if you can't see the screen?
Did you try a hard reset afterwards?
