I was wondering, having sent my Playbook to the repair centre (small issues with the charging slot) what happened to the loyalty "reward" for Playbook owners, which back then Thorsten Heins was actively discussing. Is it something that will still be discussed or is it completely out of the question ? I for the matter would appreciate some kind of gesture, since Playbook owners (early) did buy this tablet to have a great tablet but also to support Blackberry and show them that we love their products. The came the Z10 also bought at first by BlackBerry loyalists at premium price, seing the price drop in 8 months time it really bugs me to see the Z10 sold at a lower price than a Q5, but that's also my fault buying it early I knew I was buying it at a higher price. What I couldn't bear was to know later on that some updates couldn't be supported ( by at that time BlackBerry's Flagship ?!) because of the use of an outdated radio chip.

It would be awesome that BlackBerry shows some love to the loyal BlackBerry lovers ! Support them in their purchase like we support them !

    Had to be said

I see those price drops too but then remember that they were worth it to keep at the price I paid, I can't help it if others don't care. The way I look forward on it is look at all the cheap replacements out there! I can rock my playbook naked in my jean pocket and not care, you can replace them super cheap now.

TH is history... and so does that "loyalty award" thing (whatever it was)...

And unfortunately, Mr. Chen is seems to be not a PlayBook user...

    Don't expect much.

At least they gave back bridged SMS and BBM, for a while it looked like we were SOL on even that.

Don't expect anything at all from Blackberry. Instead, they (Blackberry) for doing a terrible bad job executing an idea lost customer base.

In the positive side: for customers of BB10 they gave the 25 days of gifts in December (one app free every day). A great think for loyal and new customers.

Not here back in Europe, Being a long time BlackBerry fan I'm pretty disappointed in the coverage and support in Europe in general with the sole exception of the United Kingdom. A part from the UK, BlackBerry didn't launch any advertising campaigns for BBM or bb10 here in Belgium nor the rest (France, Germany, etc.) It's a shame because here BlackBerry has still a fairly good reputation, many of my friends at university have a BlackBerry but never heard of bb10, nor the Playbook and didn't even know it existed. When I'm on my tablet I'm still asked what tablet it is and when I respond it's BlackBerry they are very surprised ! So it would be super if BlackBerry could be more active and visible here in Europe where there could be a chance of selling if the product were visible and launch advertisements on TV and in the big cities (Paris, Berlin, Bruxelles (UE Center) , Amsterdam, etc.) so that people know BlackBerry is not dead that they have an awesome platform and that it's so much better than the legacy OS !

I get the same experiences when meeting with other Europeans (never from Brits, as the PlayBook is reasonably common in the UK)

Does anyone know how many Playbooks were sold in the UK over the last couple of years, as they are still pretty popular here?

Why would Blackberry offer an incentive of any sort when people keep buying their products, regardless of their poor performance, broken promises, and lack of empathy? It's like the bad guy in a movie: everybody knows he's gonna do them wrong, but they do nothing to stop him. He burned everybody twice, but they still give him another chance to straighten up and fly right. Every US politicians campaigns on the promise of "no new taxes", yet every year I see new taxes!

Using the playbook instead of an Android tablet is reward enough.
Everytime I try a different tablet I come back to the playbook.
I love the gestures in controlling apps, the fluid response to touch, the build quality, the audio quality, the vibrant colours and hi res of the screen...

Didn't they hand it out to every IKEA employee in Great Britain, Christmas 2012? Maybe that's why their pretty common.
