Thanks brother. Installing to the car isn't in theory that hard. Getting the exact size for a holder is.
This is what I was contemplating.

But your seems to be installed directly on the dashboard. Correct?

I still use the two I have. One for my daughter for games and videos and the other for a secondary work device. I use it to take notes via Evernote and other emails I don't want to put on my phone.

Until it stops working, ill keep using it.

The PlayBook would have seen a better future, had BB10 not been delayed. Now we look forward to a possible PlayBook 2.

Without Internet? You need a long HDMI cable with mini HDMI plug in the end. It is very straight forward connection, just plug the mini HDMI to the PlayBook' video output and plug the other end to your LCD or LED TV and open the PlayBook's camera application... you can either use the front or back camera...

The future of the playbook is what you want it to be. You can pick one up for cheap but don't expect much support from user outside of this community. Check out these awesome forums and maybe you'll find your niche

Don't know... what I do know is, I just bought a rapid charger for my 16 GB and I also a broken (red light on) 64 GB model to play with.

It's future? a video playback machine.

Seems to be a few revival projects: car dashboard stuff, emulator stuff...good to see. I'm still using it for media consumption (even Netflix via Splashtop...not as ideal as a standalone system, but it's acceptable for now) and a game every now and then.

Last night I threw a few YIFY files on my PB and it ran those just fine right out of the box. I figured if it played those as well as it did, I'd need the extra storage the 64 GB model would provide. Now I hope my $25 'red light on' purchase isn't a waste of capital.
