I often see shops advertising the Playbook by model name. It's usually something like P100-64WF Playbook, or P200-64WF Playbook.
What are the actual differences between these two models? Thanks in advance.

With the exception of memory sizes (16, 34, 64) and the wifi only and 4g lte PlayBook there are no different models.
I looked at the numbers on the boxes my PBs came in.
BlackBerry Playbook P100-32WF (acquired in May 2012 in Ontario,Canada.)
BlackBerry Playbook P100-16WF (acquired in July 2012 in NB, Canada.)
And Google doesn't give much on P200-xxxx. Maybe they are different production runs or what you saw was a typo?
P-PlayBook Series
100-1st Generation in "P" series
X-Size
WF-WiFi
Altogether now :)
P100-xWF (Where x represents storage capacity in gigabytes)
what is a 2nd generation pb, OP said 'P200-64wf'
2nd generation cannot be 4g as 4g is not a 64gb, and the end says wf
Most likely the store had a typo. I've got a demo unit for the PlayBook 4G arriving this week and I'll check the model number just to confirm.
My home and native land!
Perhaps the 200 refers to shipping with OS 2.0. If you see a 210, then I'm sure there will be some speculation on this forum.
I like this idea. We'll see once 2.1 is released.
Possibly. Remember the PlayBook never ships with a full on OS. You'll be downloading the OS during setup.
Don't forget that all hardware has a bios embedded in order to initialize it. This bios is often based on the core OS needed to run the hardware. When we all upgraded to 2.0, the initial bios updated as well which could possibly be the difference between the 100's and the 200's.
This sounds very plausible.
Had I waited 3 weeks to get my PlayBook I would have been prompted to install OS 2.0.0.7971 instead of 1.0.8.6067 on first boot, because that PlayBook was already shipped to Futureshop it's model number was not going to change. You do have a point though, perhaps some PlayBooks shipped with 2.0 preloaded? This could technically warrant a revision number maybe.
Maybe if anyone who bought their PlayBook after 2.0.1 launched (assuming they still had a stockpile of P100's in all sizes at the time 2.0.0.7971 was launched)
