The PlayBook is a wonderful device. To bad BlackBerry stopped really supporting it. Takes great pictures and videos, crystal clear. I use it all the time watching movies and TV shows. It has some good games. Just really sucks that BlackBerry didn't run with it.

I use my tablets just as I would every other tablet, reading, browsing the web and all sorts of video content.
My phone has become that communication and production device.

I bought it as a digital portfolio for my photography. But i also use it for movies, music and mapping.

I use my Playbook just about every day, at work I enjoy checking CrackBerry and another FORUM that I follow.
I and a cousin have our own family web sites history/ancestry so it is always ease pulling those up when the subject comes up. Pictures, music, just about any thing you wont.
I have my Playbook bridged to my Z10, I use At&T as I noticed that you do. I have no trouble connecting to the play book via blue-tooth. I started with a Torch 9800 then a Torch 9810 next the Z10 all worked like a charm with the PlayBook, If you need more information let me know I can give you my bbm pin.
Definitely I would like to know more. Pin me here 2AB3A186

Comixology, Facebook, Youtube, web browsing, Email, and some word processing. For these uses, it is unrivaled.
as of this fall it will be permanently stored on top of my stereo with the charging base and streaming christmas music through the home theatre....also for web browsing and shopping without having to turn on the computer.
despite what ,any say this tablet does quite a bit even though it doesn't have all the "must have apps"
:):D;)
Hey!
I used to use it for gaming, movies and school books, pdf's.
Now that i've finished school, got a PS 3 and a PsVita, i'm still using it for movies/shows, but now i also read comics and novels/literature. No more gaming(unless Minesweeper counts lol).
Once i get a new phone, with a bigger screen, i don't know whats gonna happen to the PB...

I use it almost daily. Generally, I use it as an ebook reader or to watch videos. I use it for browsing, but the Z10 is so much better in terms of speed for this task. Still, at the end of the day, if I want to relax looking at the odd website, I'll grab my playbook. I've had this thing for about a year and still think it was a good value for the money.
Browsing, music, store and use recipes, listen to talk radio, play games, use it as a video camera, read news, store my files, watch tv and more...
Mine is used as a shaving mirror.
Seawarrior, can you send me the Amazon link or pic of the 12ft hdmi cable, pls. The only one I have is the blackberry one (expensive), but it works. I bought a $5.00 charger on Amazon Canada, shipped from China. Took ages to get here and died after about 2 mths, so want to make sure I get a trusted seller/product this time. Thx
Email, web browsing, reading using Kindle app, music, camera & video. I used to hook up my phone for music at parties, but was tired of running to unhook it to answer calls. Now I use the PB.
I use mine for
web-browsing (Origami).
Listening to audio books,
Reading eBooks,
Watching TV (streaming and recorded/downloaded) - both on the PlayBook screen, and connected to my TV via HDMI
Watching movies (converted from DVDs) - again local and TV screen.
Listening to music (local and cloud - Spotify),
Sometimes as a camera (video and still) though I find its camera fairly poor, especially in low light.
Ocasionally playing games,
and sometime as a calculator .
I put HD movies and tv shows (breaking bad etc) on it and connect it to my tv via the HDMI cable and watch them.
Otherwise I don't use it for anything.
really? comixology doesn't have a PB app that works does it? and the web browser messes it up fairly bad (although I guess it is "useable")
The IOS comxiology apps certainly rival the experience on the PB. In fact, the free 'cloud reader' on my iPad deals with comic books much better than the paid comic reader app on the PB as well.
Good tip. Funny story - after I read your post I decided to visit their site. But I entered www.amaXon.com by mistake, and still it redirected be to amazon.com. Those guys thought of everything!
OP - you made a good decision on the PlayBook. I use mine mainly to surf web, listen to music and read ebooks/pdfs. I also use it alot with my Bold 9900 via the Bridge feature, which comes in handy when I am at a coffee shop with my BB in my pocket or coat.
It doesn't have the biggest selection of apps, but still there is a huge amount and very many good ones. It's well worth the money. My only regret is not having purchased one with more than 16GB.
Use mine everyday.
For the office it is my main contact list.
It also holds 99% of the documents i need around the office or on the road. Lots and lots of pdf docs.
Office mail goes to the bridged 9810 and personal email goes to both the Torch and the native email.
It's also my ebook reader (kobo).
Surf a bit with it everyday and load videos too.
here ya go brudda, good news, the prices went down since i ordered===
Amazon.com : BlueRigger High Speed Micro HDMI to HDMI cable with Ethernet - 10 feet : Electronics
...I use one as a HTPC, and big screen PC with my BlackBerry keyboard...another will be built in to my new kitchen as a recipe screen and grocery list maker for my Z10...another will be built into my bar top for drink mixing and out of town scoreboard control (20" screen vis HDMI)...another is attached to the back of a 24" TV for out of town games while the main game is on the big TV...and my LTE model I use heavily on the road for work...my laptop has been collecting dust since I got my first PlayBook back on launch...
I use my PlayBook every day for most of the day to: email, word doc, spread sheets, listen to music, watch tv and videos, visit CrackBerry, calculator, camera still and videos, browser, video chat, ePhone, Teachers Aide Pro app, weather, maps, kindle app, read the news, texting, contacts and the list goes on. The best thing is using the Bridge with my 9930.
