So I'm sitting in my gazebo and have my Z10 charging through an official BB charger and place the phone on top of my PlayBook and all of a sudden the PlayBook starts making key click noises and I notice that the PlayBook is on the password screen and is now on password attempt 6/10. I pulled the phone away and attempted to enter the correct password and it was not accepting the password. I turned off the PlayBook hoping that I would be able to sign in but alas it came up with the request to type in 'blackberry '. So here I'm thinking that the PlayBook is going to be wiped but in fact after typing in 'PlayBook ' it then allowed me to sign in with my normal password...phew!

But now as to the cause... my charger was connected to an inverter through a bank of solar batteries. Could an impure sine wave from the inverter cause something like this?

I have seen odd things like this happen before. It does indeed seem to be related to the 2 electronic deivces next to each other while charging. I cant explain it though!

Yes, this happens on the Playbook sometimes if you charge it through a DC power supply and an inverter.

The electrical field of the charger cord while actively charging can create a capacitive effect tricking the screen into acting like a touch.
I once stacked my 9860 on my PlayBook with them both charging and went to bed and woke up to icons moved, several apps opened, playing music - I thought the thing was totally fried at first.
