I received a notice that my PB was low on memory (could have said resources ) and I should remove some files. Have latest updates, 32 gig
What does this mean?
PB shows 455 meg free

Well, if you have 455meg of RAM free, I wouldnt worry too much. If you have 455meg of Storage free, then yeah, I'd remove some files. I wouldnt worry right away, but if you have a large 1080p video on there, I might transfer it to a computer (or bluray) just to free it up.
A large game, or another 15minutes or so of 1080p video would fill that up quick.

It was storage. Removed some apps and back to 1.1 gig
Anyone know the recommended minimum before performance is affected.
Theoretically, there is no minimum. However, web browsing would be effected with no temp space for cache. Basically the same accross the board, it depends on how much space the program needs. I've seen updates top out around 485meg, so maybe that is why it gives you a warning around then.
I'm on a 16GB PB and everytime free storage goes below around 1.5 GB, performace drops big time.
Funny thing is, never had warning notifications on low memory at all...
With 455 megs free, do you have any performance issues?
