I never turn mine off. It's been on for about five month now and no crashes. It is one stable OS.

I hear you and agree. I thought I might be having charging issues, so turned it off to charge. I think it took longer to boot up then it did to fully charged it. Yikes! LOL.

    A gross exaggeration! It's 2.5 - 3 minutes :P
I wouldn't go so far as to never turn mine off, but I only do so when I think it necessary.

My PB takes a bit less than 2 minutes to boot which is really not much of a problem once a day.

OP, is your life that hectic that you can't wait a couple of minutes for your PB to boot? I have only had to reboot mine about 5 times in the last 9 months and that was for no particular issue. How on earth did you cope with the boot time with Windows?

Before the upgrade to 2.0 the wait was almost twice as long.
Count your blessings and keep your fingers crossed for an even better boot time when os10 arrives.

Do you know of a BlackBerry device that boots fast? If you are comparing it to a different platform, then I overstand, but BBies don't.

    Have a good day!

It's a sort of non-issue for me. I have other tablets, too - and they take their own sweet time booting / rebooting.

Yes, the PlayBook may not be the swiftest to boot, but then so what - I do it so infrequently, I fail to see the problem - if it's longer-than-others boot time is because it has some other benefits (security, stability) then I'd rather it did, than compromise some of that.

Yes F2. Plus it will take another 5 minutes to settle down before you can use the PC effectively.

I'll second the wait on Windows boot up being fracking ridiculous. Only use a PC when I absolutely have to.

ok everyone calm down calm down. if your unhappy with anything in your life you usually either get rid of it or work through it, and when it comes to love you usually always work through it. same applies to the playbook if you love your tech work through it I'm sure if your playbook could speak it would point out many many flaws in you haha

Or don't turn it on... so you won't need to turn it off... which will bring you back to turning it on again... where this waiting booting time happens...
