My question is... is it possible to view a movie on playbook without saving the movie to the playbooks hard drive first? There doesn't seem to be a way to stream from a network of movies saved to an external source like zyxel or from an external drive or thumb drive. Thanks

Kalemsoft media player works great for upnp. Plex is another option.

Yes, no problem. However, I'd like to ask how are you getting the PlayBook to read from a usb thumb drive?
