URGENT - PlayBook in Washington DC?

Hello everyone,

The long story short - in couple of days wife will be in Washington DC for two or three days. We want to get a second PlayBook - 32 or 64G, but my online search ended with no results locating stores and availability of the PlayBook in DC area.

Will be rally grateful for any information about stores in Washington DC where can walk-in and pick 32G or 64G PlayBook.

PS. Best Buy shows no stock at stores and the online order delivery is 5-7 days, which obviously won't work. :(

Any Office Depot stores in the area? They seem to have stock in several cities I've been in, bought 2 in different cities.

Washington DC guy. I own two PB 64's and one PB 32. Living at the NJ Shore my PB 32 is for sale.

We actually are interested getting the PB from shop/manufacturer

These are a few stores in and around D.C. I suggest calling to verify it's there, then place a hold on it with credit card that way it'll be there when you go to pick it up.

I'd open it there to check for defects ( keep in mind you are going to need a wi-fi connection to set it up and check it out ) if it's defective you can return it right there to customer service.

Not sure what their return policy is, there may be a restocking fee. Happy Hunting!

Don't forget that it will be hard to get warranty service in your home country. Rim will warrant them, but they need to do the warranty shipping from a Canadian/US address if you bought it in Canada or the USA.

@ 93Aero - thaks a lot for the very detiled information. We checked by phone in few stores and appeared they have only demo devices, unfortunately.

I guess no luck getting second PlayBook for now. :(


@ robsteve - thanks for the advice. We are aware of that, as our first PB was brought from US ~year ago, and no option for warranty repair locally, as the tablet not officially introduced to the market here. But we can live with that.

Wife's next stop will be in San Francisco and will see at Office Depot and Best Buy stores there. Hope to have better luck.
