What is the point here? So don't ask then. Welcome to the world of technical support! I deal with customers everyday and usually have to pry every one of them for the information I need to assist them. You realistically expect people to update their profile every time RIM pushes out an update? It's an internet forum. If you want to help people, great, then help them. I'm sure they appreciate you caring enough to want to try and help. If you don't, that's cool too, you always have the option of moving on to another post.
Once in a while the Mods make a post in the general forum for people to update this info as it's easier to offer help to people if the information is filled in. I agree, it would be nice for people to keep it up to date.
