Yes. After you run the leak. It will also do a 20 mB update for the regional apps and settings

Hi - I had this happen as well to one of my own PlayBooks. It's alive - just in a coma.
Please try this method (http://forums.crackberry.com/blackbe...aybook-741383/) to see if you can get it to reboot. It takes a while and a little bit of patience but it will eventually come back.

I've had good luck with the rapid charger. Hook it up and let sit for a few hours and hit the power button.

I just finished loading the Playbook os but I had to leave. One thing I noticed since I had the 1753 leak before which was missing some built in apps now they're back.

Why would anything change with bridge? It would have to change on both. This update doesn't improve anything beyond perhaps typing.

I ran the update just a little while ago. So far all I can see that is improved is that the browser seems faster. Does anyone else know what was updated?

Seems like RAM memory management might have been improved. This would certainly be a good step toward further upgrades progressing towards a possible paftal implementation of BB10.

This is an improvement. When I go back to screen view I can tap on a card and ktwill open quickly. So now the PB is functioning like the iPad with pause an surrender of part of used RAM. I am using dfault application behaviour with showcasd. mode off.

The true punch this update seems to pack is in its undocumented(?) bug fixes. It would appear, for instance, that they fixed the "no saved networks" bug. As this one annoyed me extremely I am very happy that they were able to fix it. Kudos!
