The Playbook is now on sale here in the UK, so I've grabbed myself a 64gb version.

I just wondered how the UK price compared to the US prices?

Here's the UK prices with an approx USD value (through Google)...

    16gb - 169 ($268)
    32gb - 199 ($315)
    64gb - 249 ($395)

The UK price including sales tax, while the US are not.

A 64GB PB cost about $330 incluing tax in US and 16GB about $220 in most States.

Yes, but US customers can benefit from non-sales-tax online vendors. Of course, you are responsible for the use tax, but most people don't pay those anyway.

But our European friends should not feel disadvantaged as they generally pay less in terms of income/payroll taxes relative to the States.

Just out of interest. In the App World we pay in Pounds the same as you do in Dollars Example $4.99 in the U.S/Canada = 5.00 in the UK

Don't feel like you are getting a bad deal. All those taxes pay for your social services. We pay plenty for our health insurance and user fees.
