UK and Irish Radio on the PlayBook - testers wanted-img_00000053.png

I get an internal server error (500) when using your form.

I am trying to post the screenshot using a browser instead of the CB app.
    I hope it works.

    Thanks, parbrook.
Not sure why you got a 500 error. I've just tested and it seems to be OK.
I'm wondering if it's because you used some special characters in your email.
The screenshot makes the player acceptable, in my eye. The visibility of the links at the bottom aren't particularly important.

I guess the only thing to test now is if there is a nice custom icon when you save it to your homescreen. If someone could test that and post a screengrab I would be most grateful.

I'm still looking at adding a search box so that will be to come if I'm happy there's sufficient space for it.

    PlayBook UK,
I've been happy with the way it looks and works so have added an appropriate pointer from the main page at UK and Irish Radio Stations broadcasting on the Internet (when accessed from a PlayBook).
I also mention the PlayBook at the stations' individual lsn.to addresses, e.g. at LiSteN . TO / MKFM

I'm gonna try and add a nice "LCD" font to the station name as well as a frame around it.
I'm not sure if the browser supports embedded fonts.
Could someone please post a screengrab of this page for me on their PlayBook.
    Thanks! http://www.radiofeeds.co.uk/fonts/fonttest.html

The new font looks good, but my Playbook does not want to take a screenshot for some reason.

I'll take your word for it, then!
    I'll roll it out now.
I'm just slightly worried the frame is a bit too thick.
Different browsers render this bit of the code differently.

Could someone please provide me with a screenshot of the player now.
You could take a photo instead if it's easier to do.

By the way, it would be better to refer to DAB+ instead of AAC+.

The DAB industry uses DAB and DAB+ in the consumer context, rather than the codec name.
The actual encoding technology for DAB+ is HE-AAC V2 and it is not compatible with the AAC format that is on devices other than DAB+ receivers.

    Thanks for that.
As expected, the frame turned out to be thicker than I would have liked.
    I've now adjusted them slightly.
Hopefully you'll be able to see the bottom menu bar in most cases (probably not Radio 2, as that has additional information on it).

As for DAB+, that would be entirely incorrect, as that would suggest that all the stations that use the AAC+ codec for streaming are on the DAB+ platform... which they are not.
There's only one radio service being trialled on DAB+ in the UK at present.

OK, I was not thinking about the streamed services.

Anyway, when the time comes, you will find that the standard AAC+ decoder will not decode the HE-AAC v2 of DAB+.
